My name is Gail Bester, born in Cape Town 30 July 1969.  I obtained a National Diploma in Horticulture from the then Cape Peninsula Technikon now known as Cape Peninsula University of Technolgy.

I am married to Martin Bester and we have two daughters, Stacey 15 years old and Sarah 10 years old.  Both our daughters attend the Deutsche Internationale Schule Kapstadt (DSK).

For the past 6 years I have been employed as the Estate Manager of DSK.  Prior to that I owned a landscaping company and worked at the City of Cape Town, Parks and Recreation department for 10 years.

In my spare time I serve on the Parish council at St. Mary's Cathedral and I chair the maintenance of the Cathedral, Villa Maria chapel and the presbetary at Nazareth House.  I also chair the Neighbourhood Old Age Homes (NOAH) which is a program assisting the elderly with homes, health and happiness in a dignified manner.
